Newlands Community Business Club
Newlands Community Business Club has been running since July 2004, meeting every other month.
The club offers a forum where all business sectors, private, public and voluntary, meet and share experiences, skills and knowledge with one another. The private sector offer a mentoring programme where required.
The club has enjoyed great success to date, having 22 organisations as members and providing a focused schedule of events which has been driven by its members.
Newlands Local Enterprise Limited’s tireless commitment to the club and development of community businesses/social enterprise, Yorkshire Water's corporate social responsibility focus and the Bradford Business Brokers constant enthusiasm to bridging the community with private business has been the major driving force in making the club the success it is today. All three parties are passionate to grow and develop the club further.
The programme so far has been highly regarded by the members and the mentoring programme is working extremely well, however some development areas have also been highlighted which can only strengthen the club.
